We got up early and did not have much time because in the afternoon we had a one-hour flight with Air
Asia to Phuket. Anyway, we took advantage of one last drive with Tuk-tuk taxis which had already turned
into our favourite way of transport. We came upon a driver who spilled out the offer of the year. “Only
80 baht but you should go in and look around in some 3 shops even if you do not buy anything”. A
wonderful finale for Bangkok, we thought. We went into a shop for souvenirs, then into a gold and silver
jewellery shop. At the end ... it was the climax. The third stop turned to be treacherous and even
dangerous to put it mildly. The owners of that two-storey shop whose name I will not say on purpose
“asked” us many times to buy something if we wanted to step out safe and sound. The polite expression
noticeable at first sight on their faces, the special hospitality in which we drank free beer, water and soft
drink, however, their features manifested vision and reprimand that bothered us. This prompted my
friend to buy 2 shirts, after which they abruptly changed their tone. After this total horror, or so it felt, we
headed to the airport for the upcoming domestic flight to Phuket.
