30. We devoted a day to walking, which included more of a ride on Bangkok Sky Train.
Yes, the goal was to see as much as possible...through the windows of the trains. After all, their network
is built in the air anyway and there is a great view of everything going on around in the big city. Strange
as it may sound, this idea of ours brought us a lot of satisfaction as we got off at some of the stops and
walked in close range to see what was around, it's another way to blend in with the surroundings that the
locals live in. Lest you think we didn't see anything in particular, we did pay attention to Dusit Zoo, which
I had already visited once, but as I mentioned above about the Palace, it makes a big difference who you
visit the same place with. My wife, being someone who loves animals of all kinds, wanted us to give the
zoo the attention it deserved. Tell you what, it seemed like the animals sensed who loved them and they
came out of their hiding places in their cages en masse to pay us some attention too. Especially active
were the many species of monkeys and birds. After a thorough tour, in which we didn't miss a single cage,
we took a sip of refreshing fresh water and continued on to dinner at the Bangkok Mall, that day I
remember paying attention to the Indonesian cuisine, which I had found from my visit to Singapore and
Kuala Lumpur to be one of the tastiest, along with Thai and Japanese. We relaxed there too and headed
to the party that awaited us atop the Hotel Lebua and the infamous bar from "Another Bachelor Party".
The weather up there was definitely with us tonight. There was a light breeze blowing as we took our
seats in one of the seating areas. Really, the feeling in this bar is something amazing as you get a great
view of the Chao Phraya River, which is very beautiful on darker days with the lights of the ships that cross
it at those hours offering dinner and attractions. As you look around from Lebua, it seems that all eyes
from the surrounding hotels are on you and you become the focus of attention. Yes, that's right folks. The
rooftop bar is also one of the emblems of Bangkok and not because of the movie. Part of the movie was
filmed there for a reason, just because of the architecture and charisma of the place. If you make an
impression, every friend of yours who has been to Bangkok has pictures right there. Both daytime ones
and the obligatory night ones. I would say that after the Royal Palace, this bar should also not be missed
by any tourist. Yes, the view from our hotel, Bayoke Skye, is also worth it, and it's the tallest building, but
charm is charm.
