22. Months passed, everything was forgotten and at the end of that year 2014 came the idea for the First

Thailand-Secrets Party in Europe. I started trying to find a location and a partner to realize the idea. Good ideas quickly find their followers and very soon it was a fact. A well-known nightclub in Sofia responded to the idea and provided a large venue and staff and took over the overall organization of video, sound, security, music and everything I wanted, under my own control. Once the first task was done, it was up to me to find sponsors and try to engage the attention of related businesses in Sofia that were counted on the fingers of one hand. The local Consulate of Thailand was the first to lend a hand, which was an important step. The second ones I was able to join were the representatives in Bulgaria of Qatar Airways who provided 2 free tickets to Thailand to be drawn at the event in a raffle. The third partner was a leading Thai massage studio called Tai Spa. They pledged and fulfilled their commitment to install a special branded marquee at a local establishment and have 3 Thai masseuses available whose role was to perform up to 5 minutes of free seated Tai massage to any guest who wished to attend the event. The fourth partner was the only Thai restaurant represented in Sofia at the time, Blue Moon Thai. Their role was to contribute to the Thai character of the event with their delicious Thai bites prepared especially for the party. Next was the choice of a host, a popular comedy figure in Bulgaria, to bring good cheer, jokes and banter with the audience. We found one, a well-known Bulgarian comedy artist. An additional attempt to create a good atmosphere was the participation of a local saxophonist who had to make, together with the DJ, a great party. Another thing that we were then able to realise was a couple of big screens, on which some of the guests' original material from Thailand was running all the time. We printed special posters and brochures with the logos of all the partners involved. The posters were put up in key locations in Sofia, and the brochures were handed out at tables in one of the cult Sofia restaurants "Memento", part of the chain of such of our kind host disco "Blender". The wonderful organization foreshadowed a great party. And so it happened. It was attended by about 350 Thai fans who paid the modest ticket of 10 leva (5 euro). In a lot of games and jokes, interesting stories told on the microphone by various guests of the event, a lot of quality music, hundreds of massages, good Thai food, it was time for the raffle and many prizes in the form of vouchers provided by our partners. The highlight of the event was the two free tickets from Qatar Airways for someone to go to Thailand and then tell our website and website about it. To keep everything transparent and fair (you know everyone expects rigged raffles), I decided to give one ticket to two different people. Everyone at the door was given a ticket with a number on it. They were shuffled by a 9 year old girl we picked at random. You're probably wondering why I'm telling you all this, but the funny thing about randomness is that it often seems really blatant. The girl drew two people, two ticket numbers, and one of them turned out to be the guy from the beginning of our story in the book.... believe it or not, the first ticket was won by the guy who first got me into the subject of Thailand, one of the two heroes who escaped the 2004 tsunami in Thailand.Well, what can I tell you folks, who's lucky...ten years later, he's the one who won one of the two tickets. And with that incident, the first "Thailand-Secrets" party in Europe ended with lots of smiles, great mood, and some were looking forward to the new upcoming tourist season in Thailand, which we all know usually starts from the 1st of December.
